The best way to achieve a French country look is to focus on natural materials, white backgrounds, and earthy tones. In this project, our designer opted for simple white walls, using texture to enhance the multidimensional appeal. Wood floors were a must-have, as well as a blend of antique and vintage pieces.
The client wanted to achieve a contemporary appeal with French provincial vibes rather than going full rustic. Consequently, all base elements are modern, with unfuzzy upholstery and clean silhouettes. The exurban effect was conveyed through subtle hints, such as the distressed white finish of a simple drawer cabinet and staple decor elements.
This contemporary French farmhouse dining room features many classic style pins, whether in their genuine or interpreted form. Antique fixtures add a sense of history and charm, while satin matte instead of a typical black wrought iron finish teleports the design to the present moment. The same applies to the wall clock and a large floor mirror. Instead of fresh flower bouquets, a tall potted plant takes care of livening up the arrangement, while the transitional rug pulls all elements into a cohesive whole.
